Golden Arrow Bus Services (GABS) Bursary South Africa 2025 ABOUT THE BURSARY PROVIDER – GOLDEN ARROW Golden Arrow Bus Services (Pty) Ltd was formed in 1861 as a major public transport bus service operator within the city of Cape Town, commuting passengers throughout the Metropolitan Cape Peninsula and Cape Flats. Owned by Hosken Consolidated Investments Limited, a South African holding company, GABS currently operates more than 1000 buses on over 1300 routes. The bursary will provide coverage for the following study expenses: tuition fees, transportation, accommodation (per the actual costs charged by the university) and a monthly allowances (a stipend to cover incidental and reasonable costs, of R4 000 per month or as GABS shall determine from time to time). Bursary holders will be required to work for Golden Arrow Bus Services once they have graduated – one year of work for each year of funding received. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted and invited to an interview – if you do not receive any feedback, please regard your application as unsuccessful. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE GOLDEN ARROW BURSARY Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered): You must be a South African citizen You must be studying towards a BSc Computer Science You must be entering your 2nd or higher year of study in 2025 You must have a combined household income of NOT more than R400 000 per annum OR NOT more than R600 000 per annum if living with a disability All SASSA grant recipients qualify for funding You must be willing to work for Golden Arrow for the number of years that were funded HOW TO APPLY FOR THE GOLDEN ARROW BUS SERVICES BURSARY Students who meet the above criteria, may apply via email to: raymonddakuse@gabs.co.za (Insert the words “ Golden Arrow Bursary 2025 ” in the email subject line).
