Applicants must be studying or intend to study at one of the following universities:
- University of Cape Town (UCT)
- University of Pretoria (UP)
- University of the Witwatersrand (Wits)

- North-West University (NWU)
- University of the Free State (UFS)
- University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN – note: no longer ASSA accredited)
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, applicants must:
- Be a South African citizen
- Achieve:
- At least 80% in Mathematics
- 60% in English Home Language OR 70% in English First Additional Language
- 70% in all other subjects
- Be accepted or applying to one of the listed universities
- Be committed to qualifying as an actuary
- Be willing to work for Old Mutual after graduation
Application Process
Applicants must:
- Apply online via the Old Mutual careers portal
- Download and complete the bursary motivation form
- Submit a one-page CV
- Complete a gamified assessment
- If shortlisted, complete psychometric assessments
- Attend a virtual interview (final stage)

- Matric certificate (if available)
- University acceptance letter (if available)
- Academic transcript (for current students)

Important Notes
