Bursary Overview
The Old Mutual Chartered Accounting Bursary Programme is aimed at high-achieving students who want to pursue a career as a Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)).
This bursary offers full financial support throughout your studies and provides a clear pathway into the Old Mutual Chartered Accounting Training (OMCAT) Programme, including career opportunities after graduation.
What the Bursary Covers
Successful candidates will receive:

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, applicants must:
- Be a South African citizen
- Achieve at least:
- 70% in Mathematics
- 60% in English HL or 70% in English FAL
- Be accepted at a SAICA-accredited institution, including:

- University of Johannesburg
- University of Pretoria
- University of the Witwatersrand
- University of South Africa (UNISA)
- Stellenbosch University
- Rhodes University

Application Process
Follow these steps to apply:
- Complete the online application
- Download and complete the Bursary Motivation Form
- Submit a one-page CV
- Complete a gamified assessment (not timed)
- Shortlisted candidates will complete psychometric assessments
- Finalists will attend a selection day and interviews
- Successful candidates will receive a provisional offer, subject to final results and university acceptance
