Vaal University of Technology (VUT) has officially released the registration dates for the 2026 academic year. All students—new and returning, undergraduate and postgraduate—are required to register within the prescribed periods to secure their place at the institution.
Registration is conducted in line with programme quotas and academic regulations, and late registrations will only be allowed during the approved late registration window.

Master’s and Doctoral Students
📅 08 January – 31 March 2026
Postgraduate students registered for Master’s and Doctoral qualifications must complete their registration within this period. Some programmes may have additional faculty requirements.
First-Time Entrants (New Students)

First-time entering students may register from 19 January 2026.
⚠️ Registration will close as soon as programme quotas are filled, so early registration is strongly advised.
Senior Students (Returning Students)
📅 23 January – 01 February 2026
All returning undergraduate students must register within this window to continue with their studies in 2026.
Late Registration, Additions & Cancellations
📅 02 February – 06 February 2026
This period allows for:
- Late registrations
- Module additions
- Module cancellations
No changes will be permitted after this period closes.
Important Notes for VUT Students
- Registration is subject to capacity and qualification quotas
- Students who fail to register on time risk losing their space
- Faculty-specific instructions must be followed
- Ensure all required documents and fees are in order before registering
