The available Learner Artisan opportunities are divided into Mechanical X2, Electrical X2 and Control & Instrumentation X2.

Applicants may qualify through different academic routes.

Accepted qualifications include a National N6 Certificate with relevant Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics trade subjects, a National N4/N5 Certificate with trade subjects, or Grade 12 with at least 50% Mathematics, 50% Physical Science and 40% English.

Applicants may also qualify with N3 with at least 50% Mathematics, 50% Engineering Science and 40% English, or NCV Level 4 with at least 50% Mathematics, 50% Science and 40% English.
