About the Citi South Africa Graduate Programme

Citi South Africa is offering a year-long Graduate Learnership Programme aimed at newly qualified university graduates interested in building a career within the finance sector.

The programme provides practical work experience, exposure to international finance operations, and professional development opportunities within a global financial institution.

Successful graduates will gain hands-on experience across different finance disciplines while working alongside teams in South Africa and internationally.

Areas of Exposure

Graduates will gain exposure in the following finance disciplines:

• Controller functions
• Treasury
• Tax
• Balance Sheet Substantiation
• Financial Planning and Analysis

Participants will also work on:

• Local Regulatory Reporting to the Prudential Authority and Johannesburg Stock Exchange
• Internal reporting and management packs
• Income tax and VAT reporting
• Forecasting and analytical insight
• Capital and liquidity planning
• US reporting support
• Financial controls and quality checks
• Business stakeholder support
• Data quality improvement projects
• Cross-functional teamwork
• Collaboration with teams in Budapest, India, Poland, and Dubai

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Undergraduate degree with a GPA of 65% or above OR a Master’s degree
• BCom Accounting or Business Science qualifications are preferred
• Maximum of 1 year work experience
• Strong leadership and teamwork skills
• Good communication and organisational abilities
