Independent Police Investigative Directorate invites South African unemployed graduates and TVET learners to apply for the TVET & University Graduate Internship Programme 2026.

South Africa’s unemployed graduates and TVET college learners have just received a major opportunity. The Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) has officially opened its 2026/2027 University Graduate & TVET Internship Programme, offering paid, structured work experience across all provinces and at national level.

This is not just an internship — it’s a career-shaping pathway into public service, investigation support, administration, compliance, and governance. If you are between 18 and 35, hold an N6 certificate or an NQF Level 7 qualification, and have never participated in a similar programme, this could be the break you’ve been waiting for.

Who Can Apply?

To qualify, applicants must meet all of the following:

• South African citizen
• Unemployed
• Aged 18–35 years
• Never participated in a similar internship programme
• Hold one of the following:
  • N6 Certificate (TVET stream)
  • NQF Level 7 qualification (Graduate stream)
• Submit the following at application stage:
  • New Z83 application form only (old Z83 = disqualification)
  • Detailed CV
  • Affidavit confirming no prior participation in a similar programme

Important: Do not submit copies of qualifications at application stage. Only shortlisted candidates will be requested to submit them later.
