The internship runs for 12 months and will commence in February 2024. Key duties and responsibilities Create stories for various Media24 platforms (e.g. News24, The Witness) and magazine brands such as Drum, You, or True Love Work on various social media platforms in various formats e.g., video Provide assistance with uploading content as needed Research stories in the internet that readers are interested in Assist with content curation and compiling newsletters that readers would like to open Who should apply? Applicants will need to meet the following minimum eligibility criteria to apply for the role: Holds a diploma or degree in Journalism, Politics of Media Studies, or Languages (a post-graduate degree is a definite advantage Passionate about stories and storytelling regardless of platform and format An excellent writer and interested in digital media Able to produce engaging videos that can attract viewers for more than 20 seconds; able to shoot videos via a smartphone Naturally curious about people and the world Eager to learn and grow A fast worker who can deal with pressure Solid knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro Outstanding knowledge of popular social media platforms Driven, energetic, and a strong team player How do I apply?
