About the Internship Programme

The Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (GDARD) is offering a 24-month Internship Programme for unemployed graduates who are seeking practical workplace experience in the public sector.

The programme aims to equip graduates with structured workplace exposure, professional development, and hands-on training relevant to their qualifications and placement areas.

Internship Duration and Stipend

  • Duration: 24 Months
  • Monthly Stipend: R8 174.75 per month

Duties and Responsibilities

Successful interns will:

  • Receive structured workplace exposure and training
  • Participate in workplace projects and activities

General Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be unemployed South African graduates
  • Hold a completed National Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree or Honour’s Degree
  • Not have previously participated in a Public Service internship programme
  • Have qualifications from accredited higher learning institutions

Preference will be given to candidates whose appointment promotes representativity in terms of:

  • Race
  • Gender
  • Disability
