Internship Overview
The GEPFuture Internship Programme is a structured opportunity designed to provide graduates with practical workplace experience in key financial and risk-related fields.
The programme will run from 01 June 2026 to 31 March 2028, offering participants valuable exposure within one of South Africa’s largest pension funds.
Available Internship Fields
Finance Intern
- Qualification Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance OR
- Advanced Diploma in Accounting (NQF Level 7)

Risk Management Intern
- Qualification Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Risk Management or Internal Auditing (NQF Level 7)
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be South African citizens aged between 18 – 35 years
- Have completed a 3-year Degree or Advanced Diploma (NQF Level 7)
- Have achieved at least:
- 60% average (undergraduate)
- 55% average (postgraduate) (if applicable)
- Clearly indicate academic averages on their CV
Important Conditions
- Applicants who have already participated in an internship or have formal work experience in the field will not be considered
- Students who have not yet completed their qualification should not apply
- Preference will be given to:
- Candidates with disabilities
- Graduates from previously disadvantaged institutions
