Uplands Preparatory Internships 2027

Uplands Preparatory School is looking to appoint four energetic, enthusiastic and innovative interns for its 2027 Sports & Academic Internship Programme.

The programme is suitable for students who are progressing towards a teaching qualification and who are interested in gaining practical experience in both classroom teaching and school sports.

Successful interns will participate in a full-day academic, sporting and cultural programme.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants should:

• Be in their 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of study, or be studying towards a BEd, PGCE or another relevant qualification at a South African university.
• Provide proof of their year-end examination results.
• Be able to work collaboratively with others.
• Be able to assist in classrooms.
• Be able to coach various sports.
• Be South African citizens.
• Have a clear Criminal Clearance Certificate.

Experience working in an ISASA school and within the IEB curriculum will be advantageous.

Previous boarding experience will also be advantageous.
