Learnership Overview
Truworths is offering an exciting learnership opportunity for young individuals who are passionate about retail and fashion. This programme is designed to provide hands-on experience in a retail environment, allowing learners to gain practical skills while working in-store.
Participants will be cross-trained to work both on the sales floor and at the service desk, ensuring they develop a well-rounded understanding of retail operations.
To succeed in this programme, candidates must be committed to learning, completing logbooks, and preparing for assessments to become competent sales consultants.
Responsibilities
During the learnership, successful candidates will be expected to:
- Work a minimum of 120 hours
- Learn and build product and retail knowledge
- Prepare for and complete assessments
- Assist customers in finding merchandise
- Merchandise the store according to MBP (Merchandise Business Principles)
- Process payments and purchases using the POS system
- Open new customer accounts
- Help maintain and control stock losses
- Build strong relationships with customers
- Ensure customer safety and store security
Requirements
To qualify for the Truworths Learnership Opportunities 2026, applicants must:
- Have Grade 12 / Matric
- Have a passion for fashion and retail
- Be willing to learn and grow within the retail industry
