GRADE C - SECURITY OFFICER (3 MONTHS CONTRACT

About the Role
We are seeking a diligent Security Officer on a 3-month contract to ensure the safety and security of our premises and personnel. You will be responsible for monitoring activities, controlling access, and responding to emergencies, all while maintaining a visible and reassuring presence.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol designated areas to deter and detect security violations.
- Control access to premises by screening visitors and issuing identification badges.
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, conducting investigations and reporting findings.
- Maintain detailed records of daily activities and any unusual occurrences.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as necessary during incidents.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Provide assistance and information to employees and visitors as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections of security equipment and report any issues for repair.

Requirements
- Valid Grade C Psira certificate 
- Proven track record in a security-related role or similar capacity.
- Strong observational skills and the ability to respond effectively in crisis situations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey information clearly.
- Familiarity with security systems and surveillance equipment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as required.

Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in security or related fields (e.g., PSIRA registration).
- Experience in conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques.
- First aid and CPR certification.
- Knowledge of emergency response and safety protocols.
