Product Line Manager (Irrigation) / Produkreeks Bestuurder (Besproeing)

Kern doel van die pos:

Om ’n mededingende, beskikbare en winsgewende besproeiingsprodukreeks oor takke en DC te bestuur.

Bestuur die besproeiingsprodukreeks, sentrale voorraadbeplanning en verskafferkoördinering vir takke en die DC.

Minimum Vereistes:

• Sterk praktiese en tegniese kennis van landboubesproeiing en toepaslike produkte; verkieslik minstens 5 jaar relevante ervaring;
• Ervaring in produkkategorieë, verskaffers, pryse, vraagbeplanning en voorraadbestuur;
• Ervaring met sentrale aankope en voorraadvoorsiening vir ’n verspreidingsentrum (DC) sal ’n sterk voordeel wees;
• Vermoë om produkspesifikasies, kwotasies en basiese ontwerp-/tekeninginligting te interpreteer;
• Toepaslike kwalifikasie and AS400

Vaardighede:

• Sterk organisasie-, kommunikasie- en probleemoplossingsvermoë;
• Akkuraatheid, verantwoordbaarheid en die vermoë om onder operasionele druk te presteer;
• Diensgerigte ingesteldheid en goeie samewerking met interne rolspelers.

Verantwoordelikhede:

• Bestuur die daaglikse produkreeks, assortiment en produkdata volgens die kategoriebestuurder se strategie;
• Beplan en plaas aankope vir die DC en takke op grond van aanvraag, minimum-/maksimumvlakke en leitye;
• Monitor voorraadbeskikbaarheid, voorraadouderdom, uitverkopings en oortollige voorraad;
• Verkry en vergelyk kwotasies, bevestig leweringstye en volg bestellings met verskaffers op;
• Onderhou en hersien kostes, verkooppryse, produkspesifikasies en verskafferinligting in samewerking met administrasie;
• Koördineer nuwe produklyne, uitfasering, produkopleiding en promosie-inligting;
• Ondersteun takke en bemarkers met produkkeuses, tegniese navrae en projekkwotasies;
• Koördineer verskaffereise, terugsendings en kredietnotas met die Aankopeassistent;
• Lewer weeklikse uitsonderingsverslae en maandelikse prestasieverslae aan die Aankopebestuurder.

Core purpose of the post:

To manage a competitive, available, and profitable irrigation product line across branches and DC.

Manage the irrigation product line, central inventory planning, and supplier coordination for branches and the DC.

Minimum Requirements:

• Strong practical and technical knowledge of agricultural irrigation and relevant products; preferably at least 5 years of relevant experience;
• Experience in product categories, suppliers, pricing, demand planning, and inventory management;
• Experience with central purchasing and inventory provision for a distribution center (DC) will be a strong advantage;
• Ability to interpret product specifications, quotes, and basic design/drawing information;
• Appropriate qualification and AS400.

Skills:

• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities;
• Accuracy, accountability, and the ability to perform under operational pressure;
• Service-oriented mindset and good cooperation with internal role players.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the daily product range, assortment, and product data according to the category manager's strategy;
• Plan and place purchases for the DC and branches based on demand, minimum/maximum levels, and lead times;
• Monitor inventory availability, stock age, sales, and excess inventory;
• Obtain and compare quotes, confirm delivery times, and follow up on orders with suppliers;
• Maintain and review costs, sales prices, product specifications, and supplier information in conjunction with administration;
• Coordinate new product lines, phase-out, product training, and promotional information;
• Support branches and marketers with product selections, technical inquiries, and project quotes;
• Coordinate supplier trips, returns, and credit notes with the Purchasing Assistant;
• Deliver weekly exception reports and monthly performance reports to the Purchasing Manager.
