Magalies Water invites South African unemployed graduates and students to apply for the Internship Programme 2026-2028.

Magalies Water Internship Programme 2026-2028

Magalies Water is contributing towards skills development by providing unemployed graduates and students with opportunities to gain practical work experience in various skills areas.

The internship programme will run for a period of 24 months, and successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend of R7 500.00.

Applicants must be South African citizens between the ages of 18 and 35 years.

Magalies Water’s Internship Programme covers different fields of study across various locations and departments.

Projects and Engineering Internships

Locations / Areas: Mafikeng, Brits WTW, Vaalkop WTW and Padda Junction Projects
Division / Department: Projects and Engineering
Qualification Required: Minimum NQF Level 6 in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
Number of Interns: 5

GIS Internship

Location / Area: Brits Lab
Division / Department: Projects and Engineering – GIS
Qualification Required: Minimum BSc in Geomatics or equivalent qualification
Number of Interns: 1

Mechanical Engineering Internship

Location / Area: Vaalkop WTW
Division / Department: Water Services – Mechanical
Qualification Required: Minimum S4 Mechanical Engineering, National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering Technology in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification
Number of Interns: 1

Water Services Production Internship

Location / Area: Vaalkop WTW
Division / Department: Water Services – Production
Qualification Required: National Diploma in Water Care, Chemical Engineering or equivalent qualification
Number of Interns: 1

ICT Internship

Locations / Areas: Brits Lab, Head Office and Mafikeng/Far West
Division / Department: Corporate Services – ICT Department
Qualification Required: Minimum Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems or equivalent qualification
Number of Interns: 3

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must be South African citizens.

Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 35 years.

Applicants must have the required qualification for the internship field they are applying for.

Applicants must be unemployed graduates or students who need workplace experience.

Monthly Stipend

Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend of:

R7 500.00 per month
